My current focus is UX, UI and digital product design. To this, I apply over two decades of experience in brand strategy, design strategy, brand development, the design of complex, scalable visual identity & communication systems. 
I position companies and products to their users through strategic design and have created, positioned and repositioned brands for some of the largest private enterprises and most prestigious public sector divisions in South Africa. I have had the honour of collaborating with some of the most brilliant entrepreneurial minds in positioning some of the most exciting startups, globally and locally. 
I thrive on complex challenges and the seemingly impossible, and I believe that through empathy, collaboration and co-creation, we are capable of solving almost any problem. Strategic design is a symbiosis of elements including user insights, business modelling and goals, information hierarchy and human-centred design. As with any system, one element cannot succeed for very long without the other, and ongoing equilibrium is essential for sustainable success.
I have been a visual identity designer for 24 years, a brand strategist for 17 of those years, and a digital product designer for 5. After working for large global and local design and branding agencies, I founded a successful strategy and design studio in Cape Town: ID&B, which I ran from 2005 to early 2020.

I now work independently with clients and participate in project teams across the globe.
